Sally Booth & Joan Harris

Democratic Candidates for Township Committee

Sally Booth and Joan Harris are both long-time residents of Bernards Township. Mrs. Booth is a public school teacher of English and history with experience in corporate public relations.  She has served on our Board of Education and Municipal Alliance Against Substance Abuse. She was also the program director for the Somerset Hills League of Women Voters and was a legislative-affairs representative for the Junior League of Morristown. She is currently serving on the Board of Trustees for BRICK Academy, which serves Newark's most vulnerable children.  

Joan Harris is a claims manager for a professional liability insurer. She has extensive experience practicing as a civil trial attorney, also serving as an assistant prosecutor in Morris County where she worked in the juvenile court, as a member of a trial team, and provided assistance to the Sex Crimes Unit and the Drug Court Diversion Program. Since 2015, Ms. Harris has served on the Bernards Township Board of Health and is currently serving on the township's Municipal Alliance Against Substance Abuse.
